In this competition, Singapore defeated Tianjin, China and Monterrey, Mexico, becoming the ninth city to host the event. APPOINT2013.03.20 Appointment WTA Appoints Melissa Pine as Director of the WTA Year-end Finals Event in Singapore, where she will be based in Singapore. As tournament director, Ms. Pine will oversee the strategic planning and execution of WTA Singapore’s year-end finals, seek business development opportunities and expand WTA Asia’s fan base, and will also assume core responsibilities in setting up Singapore’s WTA Singapore office.
