乌江又名黔江,是贵州的第一道大江,由西南向东北斜贯该省,把贵州划成南北两部。乌江自古称为天险,两岸是高耸入云的悬崖峭壁,好似利剑,直刺青天。然而,当记者来到当年红军抢渡乌江的主战场——江界河渡口时,忽然感觉这里和“天险”完全不搭边。眼前的乌江,波澜不兴,水平如镜,在两岸高峡及蓝天白云倒影的映衬下,如诗如画。当地人告记者,由于乌江建成了多座百万千瓦级的水电站,乌江水位被抬高了
