The deformation subtypes of typical TiAl binary alloys and TiAl + Mn, TiAl + Cr, TiAl + V, TiAl + Ga ternary alloys were studied and the charge density distribution changes from TiAl phase and their influence on the dislocation configuration The microscopic mechanism of the brittle nature of TiAl and the effect of alloying elements on the ductility of TiAl alloy at room temperature were discussed.
