Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is an infectiousatypical pneumonia that has recently been recognized inthe patients in 32 countries and regions.This brief reviewsummarizes some of the initial etiologic findings,pathological description,and its lesions of digestive systemcaused by SARS virus.It is an attempt to drawgastroenterologists and hepatologists’ attention to this fatalillness,especially when it manifests itself initially asdigestive symptoms.
