Measuring vertical magnetic fields caused by vertical power supplies (VESs) is an attractive exploration effort because the measured response is only caused by 2D and 3D structures. Due to the absence of a parent rock response, the detection capability of deterministic structures is significantly improved. In addition, the VES arrangement has the advantage of mitigating the shield created by the conductive cap and choosing the source mode of operation in the damaged well. Various VES methods are available for mineral exploration, seabed exploration, and process monitoring for enhanced oil recovery. The research in this article is limited to
