杜甫既重风骨，又不薄色泽风容，其笔下的色彩饱和、凝重、鲜明，具有生动的视觉效果、个性特征和情感蕴含。诗人最特出之处在于，常通过匠心别具的语词组合，使色彩在一定程度上成为独立观照的对象，尤擅长互补色的并置叠合，从而强化了色彩本身的力度。如此遂把魏晋而后诗歌的色彩表现艺术提高到一个新的水平。
Du Fu is not only a strong character, but not the color of the wind, its color saturation, dignified, distinct, with a vivid visual effects, personality characteristics and emotional implication. The poet’s most special feature is that often through a combination of ingenuity and unique language, to a certain extent, the color of the object of independent observation, especially good at complementing the color of the juxtaposition, thereby enhancing the intensity of the color itself. In this way, the color performance art of Wei Jin and later poems was raised to a new level.
