周文是文艺大众化和报纸大众化工作的一位杰出的开拓者。 1933年,在鲁迅的领导下,周文在“左联”工作时,就开始热心地从事文艺大众化工作。1937年,他回成都参加文艺界抗战协会和地下党组织的文艺领导工作。1940年,他到延安担任陕甘宁边区文艺界抗敌协会副主席。1943年,在晋绥边区党委宣传部负责领导工作和担任吕粱文化教育出版社社长时,他一直坚持不懈地继续从事文艺大众化工作。周文又是一位报刊工作的老前辈。他先后负责编辑过好些报刊的文艺副刊,为很多报刊写过大量文
Zhou Wen is an outstanding pioneer in the popularization of literature and art and newspaper popularity. In 1933, under the leadership of Lu Xun, Zhou Wen began enthusiastically engaging in popularization of literature and art when working in the “Leftist Federation.” In 1937, he returned to Chengdu to participate in the literary and art leadership of the Anti-Japanese Association of Literature and Art and underground party organizations. In 1940, he went to Yan’an to serve as vice chairman of the Anti-Faction Association of Literature and Art in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. In 1943, when the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Jin Sui Border Region was responsible for leading the work and as the president of Lu Liang Culture and Education Press, he persevered in continuing the literary and art popularization work. Zhou Wen is also a newspaper veteran. He has successively edited the literary supplements of some newspapers and wrote a large amount of articles for many newspapers and periodicals
