集成光路或称为光学集成电路,是集成电路中的一枝新秀。它是现代高速发展的半导体激光技术、超大规模集成电路技术以及超微细加工工艺技术相结合的产物。实质上就是要把用电信号进行的信息处理改用光信号处理。目前,国外从事集成光路研究的机构和人员越来越多。
