自从中国改革以来,海峡两岸的经贸关系发展惊人。1979至1991年,两岸转口贸易总额从0.77亿美元上升到58亿美元,共增长75.3倍,1992年估计达到70亿美元。九十年代台湾的海外投资重点也正逐渐向大陆倾倒。1986至1989年台对外投资总额是64.6亿美元,其中投向大陆的资金共13亿美元,占到20.1%,同期美国的比重只有11.6%,东盟四国平均比重为10.9%。
Since the reform in China, the economic and trade relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have witnessed an amazing development. From 1979 to 1991, the total amount of cross-Strait entrepot trade rose from 77 million U.S. dollars to 5.8 billion U.S. dollars, a total increase of 75.3 times. In 1992, it was estimated at 7 billion U.S. dollars. In the 1990s, the overseas investment focus of Taiwan is gradually being poured onto the mainland. From 1986 to 1989, Taiwan’s total foreign investment was 6.46 billion U.S. dollars, of which the total investment to the mainland was 1.3 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 20.1%. The U.S. share was only 11.6% over the same period, while that of the four ASEAN countries was 10.9%.
