Singapore’s economy has continued to slow down since its peak in 11.1% in 1988, from 9.2% in 1989 to 8.3% in 1990, 6.7% in 1991 and 5.8% in 1992, a year-on-year increase. However, the rebound started in the third quarter of 1992 and accelerated in 1993: an increase of 7.3% in the first quarter, 10.1% in the second quarter and a 9.2% increase in the third quarter.
