著名华裔作家汤亭亭的代表作《女勇士》反映了华裔美国女性的生活现实,描述了出生并生长在美国的第二代华裔女性的生活现状以及她们探寻自我身份的艰难历程。身处美国主流文化以及中国传统文化的夹缝中,华裔女性这个群体被双重边缘化。汤亭亭在《女勇士》中通过对“我”的成长之路的描写,完成了处于两种文化之间的第三种文化身份的探求,也反映出美国华裔女性在美国社会中生活的心路历程。
The famous Chinese writer Maxine Hong Kingston’s masterpiece The Woman Warrior reflects the reality of the life of Chinese American women and describes the living conditions of the second generation of Chinese women born and raised in the United States and the difficult journey of self-identification.
