The World Economic Forum’s 2013 Global Risk Report analyzes the potential impact, probability of occurrence and interconnectivity of 50 global risks. These 50 global risks can be divided into five broad categories: economic, environmental, geopolitical, social and technical. The report presents a digital wildfire in a highly connected world, where the Internet is a source of similar panic. Open social media enables information to spread throughout the world at an alarming rate and encourages the spread of incitement of false information. The report also pointed out that technology has developed to the extent that it can control the climate. The Earth’s atmosphere is rapidly entering a state that is not conducive to human existence. People’s daily work and life are plunged into moral dilemmas.
