根据对我省主要茶区地方品种的调查,可将全省划分为五个地方茶树品种。我省有丰富的野生品种资沅,可供育种及生产上利用。栽培的地方品种中湄潭石矸的“苔茶”、仁怀“大丛茶”、安顺“竹叶青”、贵定都匀“毛尖茶种”是主要生产良种。湄潭石矸的“苔茶”是推广的主要生产良种。本品种产量高,适应性广,为红绿茶兼适。在安徽、陕西等省种植,亦具有高产特性。
