你认识他吗?斯蒂芬·威廉·霍金英国剑桥大学应用数学及理论物理学系教授。21岁时,他因患肌肉萎缩硬化症被禁锢在了一把轮椅上,近乎全身瘫痪。他不能写字,看书必须依赖于一种翻书页的机器,读文献时必须让人将每一页摊平在一张大办公桌上,然后驱动轮椅如蚕吃桑叶般地逐页阅读。尽管他那么无助地坐在轮椅上,但他的思想却出色地遨游到广袤的时空,解开了宇宙之谜,被称为“宇宙之王”。
Do you know him? Stephen William Hawking Professor of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge. At age 21, he was held in a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy and almost paralyzed. He can not write, read books must rely on a page-turning machine, read the literature must make people flatten each page on a large desk, and then drive wheelchairs such as silkworms mulberry leaves read page by page. Although he was so helpless in a wheelchair, his thoughts splendidly traveled to the vast space-time and unlocked the mystery of the universe, which he called the “king of the universe.”
