一个学中文的人能把现实题材的写实人物画画到这样一个水平,能让很多从学院训练出来的人汗颜。张卫民醉心于绘画不知从何时开始。他出道很早,上世纪70年代的连环画《地雷战》就有很大名声。在浙江这个地方,“浙派人物画”的气场强大,所以张卫民的人物画基本顺随着这个气场。他讲究造型,更讲究笔墨。他的笔路不花哨,也不激荡,注重没骨与线条的互相融合,即便是画粗汉老翁,也能透出清和之气,弥漫着读书人的淡定。张卫民官位不低,但心境平和,待人谦逊,了无官味。他的作品以描绘老百姓为主,即便画古人也多是文人和村姑。他在那些人物中寄托着自己对人生的感悟,也显露出自己
