晋商是历史上人们对山西商人的统称他们的商业实践到明清时期达到了巅峰。在所涉足的众多商业领域中,最为世人瞩目和惊叹的当数明清时期晋商票号的兴起,及其长达一个多世纪的叱咤风云:于中国商海之中的辉煌战绩。票号业的成功带给山西商人的不仅仅是桂冠和荣誉,它还使得山西成为了当时中国当之无愧的金融枢纽和最富裕的地方。在谈到山西的富庶时,龚自珍用了这样一个词——海内最富。
Shanxi merchants are historically people collectively referred to as Shanxi merchants. Their commercial practices reached their peak during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among the numerous business fields involved, the rise and fall of the Shanxi merchants’ votes in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the most spectacular and astonishing thing in the world, and its more than a century-old all-embracing situation are the brilliant achievements in China’s commercial sea. The success of the ticket number industry brought more than just the laurels and glories of Shanxi merchants. It also made Shanxi a well-deserved financial hub and richest place in China at the time. When talking about the affluence of Shanxi, Gong Zizhen used the phrase - the richest in China.
