王瑶,女,1970年出生于北京,5岁开始学习摄影,17岁当选为北京中学生通讯社社长,同年举办个人摄影作品展。1988年,王瑶被北京师范大学附中保送进入中国人民大学新闻系学习,1992年毕业后成为中国新闻社摄影记者。她于1999年被选赴荷兰在世界新闻摄影乔普·斯瓦特大师班学习,2002年至2003年被中国新闻社派赴美国研修深造,其间在美国、巴西举办了个人摄影展览。王瑶参加过大江截流、世界妇女大会、三届奥运会,香港、澳门回归及全国人大、政协等重要新闻采访。摄影作品多次在全国获奖,其中《60岁舞蹈家重返舞台》组照获四十三届世界新闻摄影比赛(WPP)金奖。她曾获第五届范长江新闻奖及中国十佳摄影记者和中央国家机关十大杰出青年等荣誉称号,并曾任中国新闻社香港分社摄影部主任。现任中国新闻社总编辑助理兼摄影部主任,中国摄影家协会及中国女摄影家协会副主席,中国文联全国委员会委员。
Wang Yao, female, born in Beijing in 1970, started studying photography at the age of 5, and was elected as president of the Beijing Secondary School News Agency at the age of 17, and held a solo photo exhibition in the same year. In 1988, Wang Yao was admitted by Beijing Normal University Middle School to enter the Renmin University of China Department of Journalism study, after graduating in 1992 became China News Service photojournalist. She was elected to the Netherlands in 1999 to study in the world news photography Master Q Watt master class, from 2002 to 2003 by the China News Agency sent to the United States for further studies, during which in the United States, Brazil held a personal photography exhibition. Wang Yao participated in major river closure, World Women’s Conference, three Olympic Games, the return of Hong Kong and Macao and the NPC, CPPCC and other important news interviews. Photographs have won prizes across the country many times. Among them, “60-year-old dancer returns to the stage” group won the Gold Award of the 43rd World Press Photo Contest (WPP). She won the honorary title of the 5th Fan Changjiang News Awards, China Top Ten Photojournalists and 10 Outstanding Young Persons from the Central Government, and was former Director of Photography Department of China News Agency Hong Kong Branch.
