Sumitomo Rubber (Hunan) Co., Ltd. officially launched a 10.5 million radial tire expansion project in August 2015 on the basis of the soon-to-be-started three-phase project of the existing project. After 18 months of construction, it will continue until February 2017. Annual production capacity will reach 21 million. Sumitomo (Hunan) Company’s existing project Phase I and Phase II have been completed, put into operation and acceptance, with a production capacity of 15,000 pieces/day; the Phase III project is expected to be completed and put into production in the near future, and the company will reach an annual production capacity of 10.5 million pieces (30000 pieces/day).
