《奇妙的国际互联网》是苏教版四年级上册第五单元的一篇课文,在最初入选这篇课文时,是引导学生们了解信息时代的。时过境迁,如今的互联网早已不再具有神秘感了。在本单元的几篇课文中,本文与《维生素C的故事》同属于介绍某种事物的文章,《维生素C的故事》是通过讲故事引出了一种事物——维生素C,属于记叙文;而《奇妙的国际互联网》则从“国际互联网是什么”“有什么用”等方面较详细地介绍了互联网,是一篇典型的说明文。
