《孔雀东南飞》是前人给我们留下的宝贵遗产，其中也蕴涵着说不尽的话题。此诗何时完成？产于何地？新妇兰芝究竟为何被遣？对焦仲卿及其母到底应如何评价？如此等等。对此，尽管从古至今论者不绝，却还不能说疑云尽扫。本文就以上诸项问题提出己见，认为这一名篇完成于南北朝时的南方（苏皖滨江地区）；主人公兰芝之被遣、仲卿之被逼，并非全然因为封建家长制的压迫，也由于焦母是一位“综合症”患者。
