泸县是川南最大的农业县,幅员广阔,人口众多,耕地面积广,在泸州市经济发展中占有举足轻重的地位。但40多年来,泸县一直是有县无城,这种状况制约着泸县经济的发展,给它的建设和管理带来了许多困扰。经多方努力,在泸州市1996年7月1日行政区划调整后,泸县从泸州小市镇迁至福集镇重建新县城。这不仅是发展泸县的客观要求,也是富民强县的迫切需要,是全县百万人民几十年盼望已久的大好事,是千载难逢的发展机遇和契机。
Lu County is the largest agricultural county in southern Sichuan, with a vast area, a large population and a wide area of cultivated land, occupying a pivotal position in the economic development of Luzhou. However, for more than 40 years, Lu County has always had a county-free city. This situation has restricted the economic development of Lu County and caused many troubles to its construction and management. After various efforts, in Luzhou City, July 1, 1996 after the adjustment of administrative divisions, Luzhou moved from Luzhou small town to Fuji town reconstruction of the new county.
