The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League will hold a youth afforestation conference in the middle reaches of the Yellow River in the five provinces and autonomous regions in Yan’an this spring, calling on young adolescents to green their great motherland with their own hands. We must respond enthusiastically to this meaningful call to accomplish this solemn mission. Afforestation is the most widely used and more reliable greening methods. The so-called afforestation, is to cultivate good nursery stock (in special cases also have the use of wild seedlings) planted afforestation to grow into forests. Now the main part of afforestation will be briefly described as follows: A. The choice of species Select tree species should pay attention to two aspects: the first suitable for afforestation purposes, the second suitable for the local environmental conditions. For the environmental conditions, it can be divided into two Points: (1) Afforestation species should be adapted to the local climatic conditions. We know that each tree species has a certain climatic range it is suitable for. If it exceeds the limits of its suitability, it can not live or live but grow poorly Although Michurin taught us that we can change the heritability of a variety of organisms and adapt them to suit the new growth environment, this does not mean that we can cultivate a variety of creatures in a new environment with different growth environments . In particular, trees are perennial, after planting can not be more management. Such as large-scale afforestation is usually not irrigated, no fertilization, cold winter even more
