大豆烘干机长12公尺多,直径2.5公尺,重20吨。在这个笨大的工件上用螺钉均匀地固定三个滚道,而且要求这三个滚道必须同心。滚道虽然先经过粗加工,但因圆筒是焊接件,不很规则,所以当滚道固定后,同心度仍很难保证,因而必须再精加工一次。这样一个大工件就是用大设备加工也是非常困难的,机联机械厂根本就没有大设备;在这样的困难面前工人同志发挥了主人翁的创造精神,用蚂蚁啃骨头的方法干出来了。
