玉米螟属鳞翅目,螟蛾科,可危害玉米、高粱、棉花、大麻、辣椒及豇豆等40科131属200多种植物,是我国重要的农业害虫。玉米螟以老熟幼虫在玉米、高粱等寄主作物的秸秆、穗轴及根茬中越冬;秸秆中的虫量通常占到75%左右。根据其越冬规律,在冬季应采取措施进行防治,可以收到事半功倍的效果。处理秸秆冬季或早春,通过利用玉米、高粱等寄主作物的茎秆作燃料、饲料、肥料等途径全部予以处理,可以大大减少越冬虫源。在有条件地方,采用机械
