“The Second ChineseJapanese Conference of Valuable Philosophy”,which is sponsored by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics etc, has been held in September, 200. The theme of this conference is to review the effect of valuable philosophy of the century in the social life, to consider the researching theme and method of valuable philosophy, and to study the new growing point for development of valuable philosophy. More than 70 experts and scholars from Japan, Korea, China, China Taiwan and other countries and districts attended the conference. The conference has got more than 60 thesies, and discussed lots of questions. The views of Japanese and Chinese scholars on environmental valuable problems are published in this issue and the characteristics of value conflict in the meeting of two centuries and the tendency of valuable philosophy will be published in the next issue.
