A two-head hard gelatin capsule is a suitable single-dose drug container that prevents malodour during swallowing and dissolves quickly upon reaching the stomach. The development of high-speed filling equipment and the use of inexpensive capsules have prompted the restoration of interest in capsules as a dosage form. Capsules are made from refined animal gelatin and may contain very small amounts of other substances such as dyes or preservatives; however, the physical properties of hard gelatin capsules are primarily those of raw gelatin. Gelatin typically contains 9-12% moisture, however, the moisture content can vary from about 4% to 16% depending on the environment. It is conceivable that the water contained in the normal capsule can be transferred to have a detrimental effect on the capsule contents. In addition, if the capsule contents are hygroscopic, atmospheric water vapor can diffuse through the capsule. Gelatin can not be completely dehydrated with normal drying methods, if it reaches a water content
