一、白莲洞遗址概况白莲洞遗址位于广西柳州市郊东南12公里处的白面山南麓,著名的旧石器时代晚期的柳江人化石的出土点与此相距仅隔3公里。早在1956年,裴文中、贾兰坡教授率领的中科院华南调查队就在白莲洞洞内获得打制石器四件和一件扁尖骨锥与一件粗制的骨针。后经贾兰坡教授等鉴定,认为该遗址的年代属旧石器时代晚期。不久,又在洞外的堆积物中找到一件磨光石斧,遂被裴文中教授认为属于新石器时代。自1973年以来,该洞又经柳州市博物馆的多次清理,陆续有所发现。1981~1982年,在裴文中教授的指导下,北京自然博物馆和柳州博物馆组成联合发掘队,继续在此清理和发掘,获得了大量的动物化石残骸,其种类达30种之多,还有两颗人牙化石和包括500多件石制品在内的文化遗物。经研究证实,这是一个内涵十分丰富的石器
I. Bailian Cave Site Overview Bailian Cave site is located 12 kilometers southeast of Guangxi Liuzhou suburbs of the south of the White Pamount Hill, the famous late Paleolithic Liujiang fossils unearthed only three kilometers apart.
