The application of fully mechanized top coal caving mining technology in steep and extremely thick soft and flammable coal seam is introduced. The problems and solutions of fully mechanized top coal caving mining technology under the geological conditions are put forward. The technology is feasible, safe and reliable with obvious benefits.
