去年九月里,溧阳县码头街小学史悠、戴埠小学雷浩声等同志,向我们反映了戴埠小学校长钱志清一系列的错误行为,特别是他严重的违反了党和人民政府对知识分子团结改造的政策,在全辅导区范围内开展所谓“评比”斗争。我们除根据钱志清自己整理的“评比”总结,於本刊十二期对“评比”公开提出批评外,关於钱志清的错误事实,由江苏省人民政府教育厅转溧阳县人民政府调查处理。在溧阳县人民政府领导上的重视下,经过检查组的缜密调查,已作出结论,给予钱志清以“撤销校长工作”的处分.这一处理获得教师们的衷心拥护,正如教师们反映:“这完全是正确的、合理的、及时的。”只有这样才能够挽回钱志清在群众中造成的恶劣影响,平息教师们的义愤,激发教师们的政治热情和工作积极性,并进一步密切人民政府和教师们的联系。从这一事件里我们要怎样来吸取教训呢? 首先我们要认识钱志清犯这样一系列的错误不是偶然的,最主要的是他长期地一贯放松了自我改造。为了适合今天新的历史时期的要求,做好人民教育工作,每个教育工作者都要认真踏实地进行自我改造,以提高品德修养和业务水平。作为学校领导者,在这一问题上,就更应该“以身作则”。但钱志清当受着党和政府的教育与培养,受着人民的托付来主持一所学校的时候,他不是谦逊地来很好贯彻党和政府对知识分子团结改造的政策,正确有效地团结全
