采用X射线衍射方法研究了B_2O_3—La_2O_3—ZnO系玻璃的分相机理指出:由于高场强大半径La~(3+)离子的强热积聚作用易引起玻璃分相,其分相组分是B_2O_3。试验结果表明通过加入BaO可以抑制镧在玻璃中引起的分相,扩大玻璃的成形范围。应用此结果,作者已研制出含氧化镧超过40%以上的透紫外纤维光学玻璃配方。本文还叙述了在研制此种光学玻璃中杂质氧化物、氟化物、砷化物与熔制工艺等因素对玻璃光谱透过性能的影响,从玻璃结构、热力学、晶体场理论等不同角度对实验结果进行了讨论。
The phase separation mechanism of B 2 O 3-La 2 O 3 -ZnO glass was studied by X-ray diffraction. It is pointed out that the phase separation of glass is caused by the strong heat accumulation of La 3+ ions in high field strength and the phase separation component is B 2 O 3 . The experimental results show that by adding BaO can inhibit lanthanum induced phase separation in the glass, expanding the glass forming range. Using this result, the authors have developed a UV-glass optical glass formulation containing more than 40% lanthanum oxide. The paper also describes the influence of impurities such as oxide, fluoride, arsenide and melting process on the spectral transmittance of glass in the development of such optical glass.
