Sichuan Provincial Archives was established in January 1957 and formally established on April 26, 1966. June 1963 moved from Chengdu to Ya’an, June 1988 moved back to Chengdu. In 1998 November by the National Archives as a national archives. The newly built Sichuan Provincial Archives is located at No. 191 Huapailifang Street, Chengdu, with a total construction area of 32,900 square meters and an area of 25 acres.
