Dendrolimus punclalus Walker was separately fed with the harvested needles and new year leaves, and the effects on Dendrolimus punctatus growth and reproduction were determined. The first-generation Dendrolimus punctatus But also significantly decreased, and the first generation of Dendrolimus punctatus was mined in the old leaves to simulate the overwintering generation. They were forced to feed the new leaves of the year. The larvae of the first to the fourth instar Dendrolimus punctatus were reared on the old leaves and replaced after the 5th instar Compared with normal larvae fed on new leaves, the results showed longer duration, lower pupal weight and higher mortality rate, which provided the basis for clarifying the reasons for the sharp decline of population after the rampant Masson pine caterpillar.
