假如有人问我有什么嗜好,我想我唯一的嗜好就是读书,而且是无目的的读书。这个习惯是自小养成的。我家是很贫困的,流寓鄱阳,上无片瓦,下无寸土,靠父亲教书为生。唯一有的,只是几箱书。但是这几箱书经常是锁着的,我和弟弟只有在父亲不注意时,偷偷打开来读。我和弟弟从小就懂平仄、对仗和诗的格律,能做旧诗;我们这点文史方面的知识都不是老师教的,而是自己捡来的。
