我县地处沿海,台风发生频繁。据县气象站1959～1982年24年的资料,影响我县的台风共出现35次,平均每年1.5次,有的年份一年出现3次。7～9月份是台风影响本区的盛期,在35次台风中,出现在7月份11次,占31.4%,8月份16次,占45.7%,9月份7次,占20%;10月份1次,占2.9%。7～9月正是我县棉花开花结铃的关键时期,台风
