连杆螺钉和螺堵镦锻下模是资阳内燃机车厂锻压分厂160t摩擦压力机上使用量最大的模具。过去一直采用T7、T8、5CrNiMo、5CrMnMo、3Cr2W8等碳素工具钢和热作模具钢制造。由于模具韧性较差,承受交变应力的能力较低,螺钉镦锻下模的平均使用寿命为900~1000件,失效形式主要为破裂和裂纹。螺堵镦锻下模的平均寿命为650~700件,失效形式主要是裂纹和磨损变形。 42CrMo具有冲击韧性大、强度高、淬透性好的特点。用42CrMo钢制造镦锻下模主要失效形式是隆起变形,一般的隆起变形可利用上模落下时,轻轻地空击将其压平,略加修整便可重新使用。
