There is a lot of focus in people’s speech. When we say a sentence, there is often a part of the sentence in which we relatively want to highlight the importance of the obedient to the listener. We call this part the focus of our speech. This article will explore the phonetic means of achieving the focus effect in the speech of Japanese and Chinese focus sentences and compare the two. This paper collects speech data from the words of senior Japanese learners of Japanese-speaking speakers and Chinese-speaking speakers. By examining them and comparing with each other, we can see that learners tend to have the following tendency in Japanese speech: the pitch used to achieve focus Slightly inadequate means, excessive reliance on tone means, the use of voice means by the native language.
