Suicide is a health-threatening social and public issue and one of the major causes of death among college students. Suicide ideation is a potential risk factor for suicide. Therefore, intervention in suicidal ideation is one of the important means to prevent suicide. The suicide rate of college students was significantly higher than that of non-college students of the same age, while family environment factors and depression were all related to suicide ideation.
