The extra-Baikal tungsten deposit and its main industrial types have been extensively documented in the literature, so there is no need for an additional overview. In our opinion, the prospects for developing a raw material base for the outer Baikal tungsten are now largely dependent on the census and the schematics of scheelite deposits. The authors found a new quartz-silicate-scheelite type tungsten mineralization in the northwestern Paleiarpulei area outside Apuliku and Kunga mines outside of Baikal. Since 1928, some insignificant vein-quartz-scheelite mineralization has been known in the area, but so far no sufficient evidence has been put forward for the long-term evaluation of scheelite mineralization. In the regional tectonic setting, the studied area is located in the long-lived (since Archean) Mongolia-Okhotsk deep fault zone
