那两位上了年纪的绅士是同时步入旅馆露台的。他们站在那儿,犹疑的动作显示他们想退回去。在下意识地抬头观望时,所看到的已经出乎他们的意料,足以让他们心烦了。他们对视了几秒钟,眼神里充满敌意,然后刻意地避开了彼此的目光。他们扫视了一下露台。太糟糕了!阳光下只有一张桌子还空着。他们拘谨地走过去,拉开椅子,坐下,立即摊开报纸,将它们变成了屏障。漂亮的女招待从容地走过来点单。两张报纸纹丝不动。
The two elderly gentlemen entered the hotel terrace at the same time. They stood there, and hesitant movements showed they wanted to be returned. When I looked up subconsciously, what I saw was beyond their expectations, enough to upset them. They looked for a few seconds, eyes full of hostility, and then deliberately avoided each other’s eyes. They glanced over the terrace. Too bad! There is only one table in the sun still empty. They walked cautiously, opened their chairs, sat down, spread the papers immediately, turning them into barriers. Beautiful waitresses calmly came to order. Two newspapers did not move.
