统战工作是做人的工作,是做人的思想政治工作,是一种特殊的思想政治工作。毛泽东同志曾经用十分生动形象的比喻来表达,把这种特殊性描述为一根头发和一把头发的关系,抓住一根头发,就可以影响一把头发。统战工作,就是做好各个方面有代表性的人物的思想政治工作,并通过他们去团结一切可以团结的力量,调动一切积极因素,化消极因素为极积因素,为实现党的总路线、总任务服务。
