何微是西北政法大学的前身西安政法学院、西北政法学院时期的副院长兼教务长。来校工作之前,他已长期执业于我国的新闻实践工作,深谙新闻规律;来校担任领导职务后,又长期从事新闻教学和教育工作,对新闻教育规则也十分熟悉。上世纪60年代,何微较好地克服了当时因国家经济困难,新闻教育将被裁撤的种种困难,使西北政法大学的新闻教育在当时得以保留并坚持培养完首届学生。随后又经他长期呼吁,在文革中停办的政法新闻教育,终在上世纪90年代得以复办。他不仅是西北政法大学新闻教育发展史上两个重要阶段的奠基人,而且还摸索出一套“新闻理论与新闻实践相结合”的教育模式规律,体现了他“新闻有学”的教育培养理念,对今天政法大学的新闻教育发展具有很大的启发。
He Wei is the predecessor of Xi’an University of Politics and Law Northwest University of Politics and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law vice president and dean. He is not only the founder of two important stages in the history of journalism education at Northwestern University of Political Science and Law, but he also explored a set of laws and regulations on the mode of education that combines “information theory with news practice” The concept of education and training has great inspiration for the development of journalism and education in today’s University of Political Science and Law.
