In the summer of 1949 in the area of Cheffville, in the central part of the Labrador Trough, northern Canada, a series of vertical magnetic surveys were carried out on a number of ore bodies. In the winter of 1948, a series of gravimetric profiles were made. In the summer of 1948 and 1950, a gravity survey of 52 square kilometers was completed by gravity method. A detailed inferred interpretation is made on a geologically-enriched iron ore body within the area, based on two articles published by Hanmer (1945) and Griffin (1949). Inferred results far from convincing, using integrated geophysical methods did not find a new mine
