市场竞争的日益加剧,不断侵蚀着企业的盈利能力, 如何实现利润最大化成为经营管理中的头等大事。针对这种情况,美国美智管理咨询公司的资深专家兼副总裁阿德瑞恩丁·斯拉沃茨基、戴维丁·莫里森根据自己的实际工作经验, 以大量案例分析为基础撰写了《发现利润区》一书,本书被美国《商业周刊》评为“1998年十大财经畅销书”之一, 即将由中信出版社出版发行。顾名思义,本书的重点内容就是要通过现实的案例分析,说明企业如何在竞争日趋激烈的市场环境中, 通过重建发展战略来发现利润区域,赢得利润。这也许能为我国的企业管理层带来新的思维。本刊特地邀请两位作者及美智( 纽约) 管理公司副董事长詹姆斯A ·科威勒就《发现利润区》一书的主要内容作了简要的阐释, 因此, 本文既是一篇书评, 同时也是一篇有相对独立观点的专业论文。
