在《2008年人类发展报告》中,联合国开发计划署描述了气候变化给人类带来的严重威胁:气温上升,旱灾日频,缺水人口大量增加;洪水和热带风暴造成数万人流离失所……报告称:“制定2012年后的世界减排计划可以说是我们拯救地球的最后机会了。”这个报告的描述与罗兰·艾默里奇2004年的影片《后天》之内容,极其相像,如出一辙:温室效应导致全球变暖,气候发生突变,地球陷入第二次冰河期,龙卷风、海啸和暴风雪接踵而至,人类陷入一场空前的末日浩劫。

The report said: “The formulation of a world emission reduction plan after 2012 can be regarded as our last chance to save the planet.” “This report is very much similar to Roland Emmerich’s 2004 movie” Acquit " , Exactly the same: the greenhouse effect led to global warming, a sudden change in climate, the Earth caught in the second glacial period, followed by tornadoes, tsunamis and blizzards, mankind into an unprecedented Doom catastrophe.
