宗白华先生早年探索和研究东西方哲学思想,秉承以中国传统哲学为本、西方生命哲学为辅的研究方法,将西方生命哲学融入中国传统哲学,达致东西方哲学的互补。他的美学理论不仅表现了宇宙中美的存在真相,而且还承担为人们生存找到一种美的有意义有价值的人生之路。其美学研究不重在逻辑的分析,即不纠缠于通常的哲学概念等,而是关照身边美的世界,来发现美、捕捉美及阐释美;并充分领略和感受大自然与艺术表现的真实存在,探研艺术表现的客观真理,且践行于他的诗歌艺术创作中。他的美学艺术理论显示出对人的生命价值和审美意义的思考。这是宗先生对中国传统艺术美学创造性的贡献,具有较大的学术价值与现实意义。
In his early years, Zong Baihua explored and studied the Eastern and Western philosophical thoughts and adhering to the research method of supplementing with traditional Chinese philosophy and supplemented by Western philosophy of life, integrating Western life philosophy into Chinese traditional philosophy.
