Old saying goes: There are unexpected events, people have good or bad fortune. In the summer of 1986, I was examined and approved by the Degree Committee of the State Council as the youngest doctoral tutor in China’s structural engineering discipline and was then approved as a professor. This year also won the title of “national-level young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions” awarded by the Ministry of Personnel. These are all driving me to work harder. However, on November 25, 1989, a big catastrophe suddenly came to me - on my way to school, I was unfortunately knocked over by a speeding bicycle behind me and caused a serious femoral neck fracture. I had to live in the Nanjing Military Region General Hospital, a residence is 40 days, even the New Year’s Day in 1990 was spent in the hospital.
