什么是农业工程?农业工程包括的范围是否太广泛了?农业工程与其它工程是什么关系?中国农业工程学会的十年实践回答了这些问题。农业工程内容的广泛和所具有的综合性是由农业产业的性质决定的。像土地利用,农村能源,保护地栽培或环境工程以及遥感技术、电子计算机技术和系统工程在农业上的应用等重要问题,在过去十年中,中国农业工程学会所组织的学术会议里都得到了富有成果的讨论,而在这以前却没有人提及到这些问题。与动植物及其产品的生物学特性有密切联系是使农业工程区别于其他工程的另一特点。农业工程对农村发展是如此重要以至它除了工程设计之外,还必须十分重视经济与社会问题,因而它是与社会科学相连系的。由于这些特点,农业工程不是任何另一种工程的重复,也不能被另一种工程所替代。农业工程师们应当与许多其他专业人员合作,共同为正在向现代化前进的中国农业作出越来越大的贡献。
What is agricultural engineering? Is the scope of agricultural engineering included too broad? What is the relationship between agricultural engineering and other engineering? The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering’s ten years of practice answer these questions. The wide and comprehensive nature of agricultural engineering is determined by the nature of the agricultural industry. Important issues such as land use, rural energy, protected cultivation or environmental engineering, and application of remote sensing, computer technology and systems engineering in agriculture have all been noted in the academic conferences organized by the China Society of Agricultural Engineering in the past decade Fruitful discussions have been made, and no one has mentioned these issues before. Closely linked with the biological characteristics of animals, plants and their products is another characteristic that distinguishes agricultural engineering from other projects. Agricultural engineering is so important to rural development that, in addition to its engineering design, it must also place great emphasis on economic and social issues and therefore it is linked to the social sciences. Due to these characteristics, agricultural engineering is not a repetition of any other kind of engineering and can not be replaced by another type of engineering. Agricultural engineers should work with many other professionals to make greater and greater contributions to China’s agriculture that is moving toward modernization.
