Amy Tan, first known as a Chinese-American writer, has had a tremendous impact in the world literary world since her first book, The Joy Luck Club, was born. Since then, Amy Tan has done a great deal of work and has published a series of works such as “The Kitchen God’s Wife”, “One Hundred Mysteries,” and “The Lady of the Sink.” These works are based on Chinese and Western cultures for the exploration and pursuit of cultural identity, the family relationship between Chinese and foreign family members as the eternal theme, in order to reflect the confrontation between Chinese and Western cultures and exchanges. “The sunken fish” is another culmination of Amy Tan’s accomplishment in 2005, as well as a breakthrough made by her.
