Xi Zhen, a professor at Nankai University, director of the Department of Chemistry and Biology, and deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Elemental Organic Chemistry. In 2001, he was hired as the Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education and “Cheung Kong Scholars Program” and received the Scientific Achievement Award of Eli Lilly in 2006.
