杰尔系统公司最近宣布,NEC公司已成功采用其GRPS手机平台开发新一代i-MODE产品。据称,现在已有无线网络运营商在欧洲及亚太地区提供该款新品,稍后亦将在美国市场推出该产品。杰尔系统的GSM/GPRS平台结合了开发手机的核心硬件及其配套软件,为手机生产商提供高速数据传输方案,并将产品开发时间及入网测试时间缩减50％。
Agere Systems Inc. recently announced that NEC has successfully used its GRPS handset platform to develop next-generation i-MODE products. Allegedly, there are already wireless network operators in Europe and Asia-Pacific region to provide the new product, will also be introduced in the United States market later. Agere’s GSM / GPRS platform combines the development of handset core hardware and its companion software to provide handset manufacturers with high-speed data transmission solutions and reduce product development time and network access testing time by up to 50%.
